We interviewed several encapsulation contractors for my mother-in-law's home at the beach and selected Seaside Environmental over the others. We were very impressed with Nick from our first meeting. Nick performed a very thorough inspection not only of the crawlspace but also made numerous recommendations regarding improvements under the living spaces that would improve the energy efficiency and indoor air quality of the home. None of the other contractors addressed these issues and were concerned only with correction of moisture issues. In addition, Nick informed us of the Energize Delaware program that could provide rebates based on energy efficiency improvements via a whole-house audit before and after the project. From the start, Nick's team was timely, communicated extremely well and coordinated all activities with the Energize Delaware program so that the project moved along without pause. We couldn't be happier with the end result. The crawlspace is clean and dry and the overall energy efficiency of the home has improved approximately 30%. Additionally, the indoor air quality has improved to the point where my mother-in-law rarely needs an allergy medication while at home; we believe this is entirely due to elimination of the penetrations and leaky ductwork under the home which were allowing mold spores, etc. to enter the interior of the home. We worked with 5 companies through the quote process and selected Seaside for several reasons: strong reviews, coordination of a rebate with Energize Delaware, responsiveness to our (many) questions, and competitive pricing. Through the entire process we had great communication regarding scheduling, findings, pictures, and follow ups. We had mold throughout our crawl space and in our hvac ducts. Nick came out crawled under the house did his inspection and came back to me with recommendations and was very knowledgeable with how to properly remove and treat the mold. He got in touch with our hvac guy to set his schedule with his tk make there process eaiser as well. He never once tried to force anything we did not need. Was very responsive when ever I had questions on things. Very professional and on time. Him and his crew did a awesome job on our crawl space and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
